The new Cervoz MEC-LAN FlexPoE Series addresses this challenge through a modular networking architecture that delivers dual-port Ethernet expansion with optional PoE+ capability, enabling greater flexibility within space-constrained embedded platforms.
Expand Network Capacity Without Sacrificing System Resources
As embedded platforms continue to integrate computing, storage, acceleration, and communication functions into increasingly smaller footprints, expansion interfaces have become a critical resource.Available in M.2 and Mini PCIe form factors, the MEC-LAN FlexPoE Series provides dual-port 1GbE and high-speed 2.5GbE networking without occupying a traditional PCIe slot. This enables engineering teams to preserve valuable resources for GPUs, storage devices, AI accelerators, or other application-specific hardware.
Powered by Intel® Ethernet controllers, the MEC-LAN FlexPoE Series delivers stable, low-latency performance for bandwidth-intensive applications that require reliable data transmission.
PoE+ Capability Without Traditional Design Constraints
Conventional PoE+ designs often increase board size, thermal load, and integration complexity.The MEC-LAN FlexPoE Series address these challenges with a modular Mother-Daughter architecture that separates Ethernet communication from power delivery.
The optional IEEE 802.3at PoE+ daughter board supports 12V to 24V input and delivers up to 25.5W per port, enabling flexible deployment of PoE-powered devices while preserving a compact LAN card footprint.
Simplify Installation with Single-Cable Power and Data
In remote locations and space-limited enclosures, installation efficiency is often just as important as network performance. The optional PoE+ module delivers both power and data through a single Ethernet cable, reducing wiring complexity, shortening installation time, and simplifying long-term maintenance.Equipped with two independent PSE channels, the module provides stable power delivery for connected devices while helping maintain reliable operation in demanding environments.
Designed for Real-World System Integration
Electrical performance alone does not guarantee successful system integration. Mechanical limitations frequently introduce additional challenges during product development. To simplify integration across a wide range of platforms, the MEC-LAN FlexPoE Series incorporate Cervoz's exclusive MECFIX architecture, supporting standard brackets, low-profile brackets, and customized internal mounting configurations.This flexibility allows network interfaces to be positioned according to application requirements rather than chassis restrictions, helping accelerate development cycles while minimizing mechanical redesign.
For applications requiring enhanced environmental resilience, the MEC-LAN FlexPoE Series are available with RJ45 or M12 X-code connectivity options, supporting transportation, outdoor, and other demanding operating environments.

Designed for demanding industrial environments, the MEC-LAN FlexPoE Series support operating temperatures from -40°C to 85°C and incorporates ESD, and surge protection.
